Peppermint mocha protein shake

Peppermint mochas… this time of year you can find them everywhere from Starbucks to McDonald’s. 

And they’re not exactly a healthy way to start the day.

This Peppermint Mocha Protein Shake recipe from my AHealthierU app delivers all the pepperminty, chocolatey goodness of a peppermint mocha frappuccino using healthy ingredients.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of your choice of milk 
  • 1 scoop of plant based chocolate protein powder (opt for a protein powder that is organic with close to 0g of sugar) 
  • A splash of peppermint extract 
  • 1/4 cup of ice 


Optional Sugary Garnish: 2 tbsp Reddi Whip Coconut Whip Cream (10 calories per serving and 1g of sugar per serving) and one crushed peppermint candy sprinkled on top

Directions:

  1. Blend ingredients until smooth 
  2. Serve cold and enjoy
